We started Paija because we noticed the pressing need for scalable HR consultancy that understands IT & tech industry in Finland. 

Our mission is to offer practical and growth-enabling HR support to scaling companies. We help our clients take the next growth step, whether it be a small spurt or a giant leap!

During our careers, we have seen many ups and downs, which gives us a deep understanding not only of growth company environment, but also the legaíslation and bureacracy for IT & tech in Finland.

Paija founder Pia is located in Oulu, but the team works remotely and travels only if separately agreed. This makes the service efficient and flexible for you.

Lead consultant Pia has over 10 years experience in HR, coaching and management, as well as 5 years experience in executive teams. 

Pia has worked across various product, service, consumer, and B2B business sectors. She is most familiar with industries such as ICT, IoT, cybersecurity, manufacturing, clean tech, and adult education. Pia holds a special place in her heart for Finnish technology growth companies aiming for international expansion.  

Pia has worked as a specialist, coach, supervisor, and leader. In addition to HR work and business management, Pia writes informative content, provides training, and speaks publicly about HR topics as well as labor market issues and trends.

Kaisa Tervahauta

Kaisa is an experienced professional in B2B service business and the growth company sector. Her core expertise includes location-independent leadership (remote work) and flexible work-life practices.

Kaisa has experience with all types of employment relationships – as a freelancer, employee, and employer. She has led teams through corporate restructurings and developed compensation and bonus models, training paths, and remote work practices that improved eNPS by 176% in one year. Kaisa has a unique ability to combine goal-oriented execution with humane leadership – delivering results that are reflected both in performance and employee satisfaction.

Kaisa holds a Master's degree in International Business Communication. She speaks fluent Swedish and English and enjoys working on international projects.
